Mission Vision & Values

đź’™Mission Statement

MARA AMAR exists to transform fashion into a force for good—through repurposed design, cultural storytelling, and creative education.
We create meaningful, wearable art from discarded materials while empowering our community to repurpose with purpose, honor their roots, and love the planet and the people in it.

🌍Vision Statement

We envision a world where fashion is circular, conscious, and connected.
A world where creativity replaces consumption, where communities are rooted in sustainability and self-expression, and where every person feels inspired to create, heal, and grow through art, culture, and purpose.

🌿 Core Values

1. Faith & Divine Purpose
We believe we are all created with purpose by God. MARA AMAR is rooted in faith, guided by God, and committed to walking in alignment with what we are called to create, serve, and share.

2. Purpose Over Production
Everything we create carries meaning. We design with intention—not excess—honoring the belief that our work is part of a greater purpose.

3. Sustainability & Stewardship
We honor the Earth as a gift from God by repurposing materials, reducing waste, and advocating for a more conscious, circular fashion future.

4. Cultural Roots & Identity
We celebrate the beauty of Puerto Rican, African, and diasporic connections—honoring where we come from as part of who God created us to be.

5. Community & Education
We are called to serve. Through workshops, mommy-and-me experiences, and creative gatherings, we pour into others with love, knowledge, and intention.

6. Amor (Love in Action)
Love is at the center of everything we do. We lead with compassion, kindness, and grace—serving others the way we are called to.

7. Empowerment Through Creativity
We believe creativity is a God-given gift. We inspire others to create boldly, heal deeply, and walk confidently in who they are.

8. Ethical Impact & Justice
We stand for people over profit—advocating for dignity, fairness, and wellness for garment workers, and uplifting communities that are often overlooked.
